These are narratives of self-determination, in which neurodivergent characters and creators alike assert agency over the direction their lives take. Whether navigating relationships, pursuing ambitions, or simply refusing to be defined by others' expectations, the people in these films are not passengers in their own stories. Together, these works celebrate autonomy, self-advocacy, and the power of claiming one's own narrative.​​
