Program Schedule below

In the Driver´s Seat

Film-screening 1

11:00 - 12.25

A selection of films based on true stories of neurodivergent lives—in their bodies and minds, and in a world that was not built for them. These are stories of navigating spaces designed without them in mind, of finding joy on their own terms, and of the quiet and loud ways neurodivergent people claim their place in the world. Together, these films invite us to witness lives lived fully and authentically, and to reconsider what it means to belong.

An Ode to Diversity

Film-screening 2

13:25 - 15:35

A selection of films where neurodivergent people take charge—of their lives, their choices, and their stories. These are narratives of self-determination, in which neurodivergent characters and creators alike assert agency over the direction their lives take. Whether navigating relationships, pursuing ambitions, or simply refusing to be defined by others' expectations, the people in these films are not passengers in their own stories. Together, these works celebrate autonomy, self-advocacy, and the power of claiming one's own narrative.

Emotional Achilles Heel

Film-screening 3

15:50 - 17:15

These films show the emotional lives of neurodivergent people: vulnerability and strength, joy and grief, connection and isolation. Through humor and honesty, their creators share moments that are exposed, moving, and often familiar. Together, these works remind us that feeling deeply is not a weakness but a language of its own.

Far From Home

Film-screening 5

17:30 - 18:57

A selection of films by neurodivergent filmmakers, exploring the absurd and the unreal. These films step away from the familiar, into the ordinary turned strange, into worlds shaped by fever and folklore. Through unusual humor, unease, and moments of revelation, these are stories told by people who know what it is to stand apart.

Award Reveal

19:12 - 21:00

Join us for the final session of the festival, where we will announce the Third, Second, and First place winners of Neurocinema 2026. Following the envelope ceremony, we invite you to stay for the ultimate experience: a screening of the First Prize winning film. The screening will take place if time allows and seating remains available; attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis, and no RSVP is required. Let's celebrate the boldest voices in neurocinema this year one last time.
